Development CoordinatorThe Development Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Development Manager with overall project execution on assigned projects. The Development Coordinator will assist in ensuring compliance with the project business plan and all aspects of the development process, as well as managing the execution of certain tasks. Development Coordinator Responsibilities: Review of neighbourhood plan requirements as they apply to a prepared and active development application as well as research related to the application Manage and coordinate of all facets of the planning, development and servicing phases of land development projects Managing and maintaining project development schedules and ensure they are on track and accurately executed Coordinate feasibility analysis and be responsible for quality control and cost effectiveness of land use and design Manage projects through all legal and land title processes Attend meetings with Consultants, Contractors, Municipality staff and Council meetings Coordinate with Consultant on submissions necessary for the project’s approvals. Manage projects through all City approval processes Assist in budget preparation as required and manage costs throughout the life cycle of projects Maintain and update data in shared drive – drawings, surveys, reports, municipal correspondence Correspondence with municipal staff and land development consulting teams and coordinate and review site work, analysis, and reports Keep abreast of current industry news, trends and developments as much as possible Attend industry events on behalf of Paddington Properties from time to time Management of properties, tenants, and related matters. Construction Site SupervisorWe are looking to employ a dedicated and experienced site supervisor to oversee construction projects and supervise the construction team. The site supervisor's responsibilities include ordering building supplies, scheduling equipment maintenance as needed, and training new construction employees. You should also be able to perform first aid in emergencies. To be successful as a site supervisor, you should be detail-oriented and knowledgeable of building codes and construction safety regulations. Ultimately, an outstanding site supervisor should be able to interpret building plans as well as demonstrate exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities: Inspecting construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards. Supervising and instructing the construction team as well as subcontractors. Educating site workers on construction safety regulations and accident protocol. Enforcing site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries. Handling site accidents in accordance with established accident protocol. Maintaining an accurate record of construction employee attendance. Evaluating the performance of construction employees and instituting disciplinary measures as needed. Analyzing blueprints to ensure that construction projects meet design, safety, and budget specifications. Recommending changes to construction operations or procedures to increase efficiency. Requirements: Completion of a post-secondary education construction training program. Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction science, civil engineering, or related field is preferred. Proven experience working as a site supervisor. CPR and first aid certifications. Sound knowledge of building codes and construction safety regulations. Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment. The ability to interpret blueprints. Outstanding leadership skills. Construction CoordinatorJob Summary The Project Coordinator will support the Project Manager, and partners with our project site teams to assist in the planning, direction and management of all activities related to the successful execution of major projects. Qualifications Preferable Post-secondary, technical education (BCIT) or similar in a construction or industry-related program Excellent organizational and time management. Service oriented, with a dependable and professional work ethic. Able to work well as part of a team and independently. Personal drive and commitment. Industry Experience - 1-3 years Responsibilities: Project Manager support - provide support to multiple project managers and other colleagues as needed. Support the Project Manager and the Construction team with the delivery of construction projects on time and to highest quality Ensure highest standards of safety and are achieved through working with Site Safety Officer and project teams to build effective safety plans Project Startup - issuing contracts, requesting insurance and bonds, WCB notices, etc. Project Documentation - using Timberline and Microsoft software to manage labour, materials, and equipment, cost coding, submittals, schedules, meeting minutes, change orders, etc. Subtrade/Supplier Management - ability to manage construction subtrades and suppliers, and mitigate issues that may arise during a project Control and document all rental, delivery material and inventory. Job Duties Assist the Project Manager in Managing and coordinating on-site operations. Daily site opening and shut down and control activities. Assist in establishing and monitoring construction work schedules Liaison with Contractors, Vendors Communicate operational objectives with the Project Manager daily. Keep and maintain the daily diary and appropriate records to fulfil the requirements of the contract and provide detailed history of site events and history. Occupational Health & Safety Acts / Construction Safety Act regulations and environmental requirements Responsible for compliance and enforcement of all Company policies and procedures with regards to all employees and contractors.
